Nearly 40 years of custom merchandise in North Carolina as The Trophy Case since 1987, and as Merch Unlimited since 2024. We partner with businesses, brands, event organizers, and creators to bring their vision to life through high-quality custom products from screen printing and embroidery to DTF transfers, fulfillment, and marketing.
Today Merch Unlimited runs two businesses under one roof: a local one-stop custom apparel shop serving Garner, Raleigh, and Wake County, and a national DTF transfer operation that prints gang sheets in-house and ships them across the country in 24 to 48 hours.

Our Story
The Trophy Case opened in 1987 in Dunn, North Carolina, founded by Sharon Stevens. In the 1990s she sold the shop to Robert Barber, who ran it as a trophy and awards business for the next two decades. Apparel was a side note in those days. At its largest the shop was 1,200 square feet, with a manual screen printing press, a single-head embroidery machine, and a staff of three.
In 2017 we bought the business. We are Robert and Ches, business partners with a much bigger vision for what a custom merchandise company could be. We bootstrapped everything, putting every dollar the shop earned back into better equipment, better people, and better processes, year after year.
In 2023 the business moved to Garner, North Carolina, into a 5,400 square foot facility, and in 2024 The Trophy Case became Merch Unlimited. Today we run one of the highest-throughput apparel operations in North Carolina, handling everything from design, printing, and embroidery to inventory, fulfillment, websites, customer service, and returns, start to finish under one roof.
The next chapter is already underway: a purpose-built 12,000 square foot facility, about 18 months in the making, that we plan to move into at the beginning of 2027.
