How to Apply Your DTF Transfer
Prepare the Garment:
Pre-heat the garment using a heat press for 3-5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles. This ensures a smooth surface for optimal adhesion
Position the transfer on the garment:
Carefully align and center the transfer. Use heat-resistant tape to secure it in place, especially for items like hats or curved surfaces.
Press at 300°F with medium pressure for 12 seconds:
Set to 290°F–310°F. The exact temperature will depend on the garment material.
Peel the film hot or cool:
Remove the carrier sheet immediately after pressing while the transfer is still warm or allow the transfer to cool completely (20-30 seconds) before peeling.
Perform a final press for 10 seconds:
Cover the transfer with parchment paper, a Teflon sheet, or butcher paper and press again for 12 seconds.
